Structuring charges

Structuring charges provide an incentive to those in charge of balancing groups to keep the hourly differences between entry and exit quantities within a balancing group as low as possible, thereby contributing to the grid stability and to reducing the overall use of control energy. The structuring charges are invoiced on the basis of § 24 of the network access terms of GASPOOL Balancing Services GmbH. Payment of the structuring charges does not constitute compensation for the hourly deviations.

The variable structuring charges applied by GASPOOL in the period between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2016 are listed below for the individual hours of the gas day. With effect from 1 October 2016 the current incentive mechanism will be replaced by the new flexibility charge model outlined in the administrative ruling BK7-14-020 (“Gabi Gas 2.0”) issued by the German federal regulator Bundesnetzagentur. Any subsequent changes to the variable structuring charges applied by GASPOOL will be published on this page at least 10 business days prior to the date from which they are to take effect.
