Initial development phase completed: GASPOOL reduces its management

Following completion of initial foundation and development activities, there will now be changes to the GASPOOL management: Dirk Bessau has decided to terminate his employment contract with GASPOOL, by amicable and mutual consent, in order to pursue new professional tasks. He will already withdraw from operational business from February 5. From then on, Stefan Müller-Reinisch will run the business on his own.

Recommendation document on the basis of the European Network Code Balancing submitted to Federal Network Agency

The market area managers (MGV), GASPOOL and NetConnect Germany (NCG), have presented the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) with the recommendation document on the basis of the European Network Code Balancing. The recommendation document contains the final recommendations of the market area managers and pipeline network operators (FNB) regarding the definition of a within-a-day commitment, the generation of balancing energy charges, and regarding further topics that were brought up during a consultation conducted between 17 and 31 January 2014.

From 1 October 2014 until 1 April 2015, GASPOOL Balancing Services GmbH will apply a control and balancing energy levy of 0.09 ct/kWh.

From 1 January 2015, a neutrality charge of 0,0282 €/kWh/h/a will be applied in the market area GASPOOL to recover the costs for switching over network areas from low to high calorific value gas quality.

Starting October 1, 2014, GASPOOL will procure control energy from TTF (Title Transfer Facility) in the Netherlands.
